SKYPE FOR BUSINESS: TESTING AN ENTERPRISE MOBILE APP
Overview
During my work towards a graduate certificate in User-Centered Design, I was part of a 3-person team that planned and conducted a lab-based usability test of Skype for Business that evaluated all features of the Android app including IM, voice calls, video call, and meetings.
I proactively created a note and scorekeeping tool in Excel that reduced cognitive load for the researcher during usability sessions that required real-time texting with participants. The tool also helped increase the speed of data analysis and synthesis.
Findings were given severity ratings and recommendations, summarized in a deck along with an executive scorecard and video highlights, and presented to the Skype for Business team.
